Venkatesh Subramaniam

Venkatesh Subramaniam is the Group CISO for Olam Group. He has over 30 years of experience in Information Security and Management and has worked in critical sectors, including Finance and Telecom, in Fortune 50 companies globally. Venkatesh was previously with a US-listed financial services firm as their Global CISO and Business Continuity Head, a strategic role that involved frequent interactions with US Rating Agencies and Regulators. Prior to that, he was the CISO of a major telecommunications company, also serving as their Chief Privacy Officer and Business Continuity Head. Venkatesh has been a speaker at many security events globally and has received several awards for Information Security, including recognition as one of the Top Global CISOs by Cyber Defense magazine for 3 years in a row. He serves on the Advisory Board of several publications and companies. Venkatesh has an undergraduate degree in engineering with a Gold medal, an MBA from one of the premier business schools in India, and a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from Boston University. He is based out of Dubai, UAE.
